Effa Azuin Binti Aidrul Hisham

Effa read law at the International Islamic University Malaysia before completing her pupilage at the Chambers of Kamarul Hisham & Hasnal Rezua. She was called to the Bar in 2017 and continued practicing there until 2020, when she joined Scivetti & Associates. She later pursued her Master's in Criminal Justice at the University of Malaya, where she obtained her degree with distinction.

Since the early days of her practice, Effa has grounded herself in criminal litigation, handling high stakes matters involving drug trafficking, riots, robbery and preventive detention, as well as complex white-collar offences such as criminal breach of trust, cheating and money laundering.

She is also certified under the National Legal Aid Foundation, where she has conducted numerous criminal trials on appointment, an experience that complements her private practice and sharpens her trial strategy across varied types of cases.

In the civil sphere, she is no stranger to defamation matters and is particularly familiar with handling such claims, alongside disputes involving trespass, breach of fiduciary duties and contractual obligations. Her ability to navigate and interpret complex statutory provisions has made her a sought-after consultant by fellow legal professionals especially for matters related to the Legal Profession Act.

Outside of court, Effa keeps her mind sharp through Muay Thai, which she enjoys as both a way to stay focused and fit.
